How does it work?
assistAR uses Remote Visual Assistance Technology to connect Experts to their customers. Using augmented reality, Experts can help diagnose and resolve a problem without having to be there:
Guide your customer through an issue without you having to be there.
With assistAR, you have the ability to establish a direct connection with your customer through video chat. This innovative platform not only allows for real-time communication but also provides AR-enhanced interaction tools. These tools can be utilised to diagnose the issue at hand and, in many instances, even resolve the problem remotely. This eliminates the need for a physical presence, which can often be time-consuming and expensive. Instead of incurring hefty call-out fees and dealing with the logistics of on-site visits, you can opt for an assistAR session.
Remote Visual Assistance Features
From Image Capture to Live Pointers, take a closer look at the Remote Visual Assistance features that'll help you to get the most out of your AssistAR sessions.
The Markup tool is one of the ways you can enhance communication, allowing for quick and easy diagnostics and repair. Images that have been marked up can be captured and saved, which is great when building an inspection report.
Use the Pointer feature to add clear direction and instruction to the live video stream. Both participants have their own colour-coded pointers for confusion-free communication.
The measure tool works with Google Maps to calculate point-point distance and area, eg for a roof or driveway area. Once captured the measurements are saved into the notes widget and session report.
Use the checklist tool to define workflows or guidance through a task. This ensures that mishaps and errors are kept to a minimum and learning curves are shortened.
The Remote Zoom feature allows the Expert to use the mobile's camera to zoom in on the finer details, all via their own tool bar.
The Google Maps integration allows you to perform quick external surveys for access, parking, directions etc and can be saved onto the session report.
The optical character recognition (OCR) function enables you to automatically capture text from the image, saving time and increasing accuracy.
Experts can remotely access their client's Torch/Flash and turn it on if extra light is needed during the session. This allows all parties to stay within the session.
